Jo Wood looks for husband No 3... on £5,000 dating site run by ex-royal cop

- By John Dingwall

AS THE ultimate rock chick, she spent three decades partying with her second husband, Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood.

Now, 12 years on from their divorce, Jo Wood has turned to a dating agency to seek a third husband and ease her fears of ending up a hermit at her country retreat in Northamptonshire.

The mother-of-four and grandmother to ten has enlisted the help of the exclusive Sara Eden introduction agency run by Karen Mooney, a former Buckingham Palace royal protection officer. ‘I feel I’m being given an opportunity,’ Jo, 65, told The Mail on Sunday. ‘I didn’t even know that sort of agency existed until a friend of mine said that as I was single again, did I want to try it out? I thought, absolutely. I would consider getting married a third time if the right man came along. Third time lucky, I say. I’m a romantic.’

The agency, which asks for a £5,000 membership fee and has offices in Westminster and

Windsor, received her online profile on Friday. She specified that prospective dates should be aged 60 to 70. ‘I had to explain what type of person I am,’ said Ms Wood. ‘I put down that I’m happy and positive and I think I’ve got a good sense of humour.’

She eloped to Las Vegas in 1973 with her first husband, clothing entrepreneur Peter Greene. Their eldest son Jamie was born a year later but the marriage ended in 1976. A year later she met Ronnie.

‘For our first date he took me to a nice pub on Chelsea Embankment and we had tequila sunrises,’ she said. They wed in 1985 and have two children, Leah and Tyrone. She also became stepmother to Ronnie’s son Jesse, from his first marriage. Much of their relationship was spent on the road with the Stones.

Her marriage to Ronnie, 73, ended in divorce in 2009 when he cheated on her with Ukrainian waitress Ekaterina ‘Katia’ Ivanova. He went on to marry theatre producer Sally Humphreys, 39, with whom he has four-year-old twin daughters.

But Ms Wood isn’t bitter at either of her ex-husbands. ‘My first husband Peter had such a great personality, and so did Ronnie. That’s what attracted me to them.

‘The next Mr Right could be somebody who is a rock star. I want somebody who is a bit creative. I’m looking for a man with a sense of humour. You have to have that if you’re going out with me.’

In 2017, she split from Paul Scarborough, a builder who had renovated her £3million North London townhouse in 2012. She then dated businessman Carl Douglas, but the couple parted in 2020.

Ms Wood, who promotes her own organic cosmetics range, said: ‘I want to find someone I can have a good laugh with, somebody I can share my life with, otherwise I might become this hermit in the country. I don’t want to be like that.’
