THIRTY-YEAR-OLD Christopher Pearce was handed a six month conditional discharge after pleading guilty to damaging property and common assault.

Stoke-on-trent Crown Court heard Pearce damaged his partner’s mobile phone on July 24 last year. And on February 1 the pair rowed over who was to pay a bill at a curry house. She was left her with reddening to her knee.

Jason Holt, mitigating, said Pearce, of Cotswold Crescent, spent time in custody after his arrest.
