ROCESTER remain fourth in the Midlands League table after a 1-1 draw at Heath Hayes.

It was the Romans who drew the first blood in the 72nd minute. Liam Robinson lofted a free kick into the box and substitute Harrison Richardson, two minutes into his debut for the club, volleyed the ball into the bottom corner.

But just when it looked like the Romans were on for all three points up stepped Alistair Brauns to level for Heath Hayes in the 84th minute.

BROCTON came back from 2-0 down to draw 2-2 at Lichfield City and extend their unbeaten league record to five games. Lichfield opened the scoring midway through the first half when Matt Gardner thumped home a Ryan Brooks cross.

The Badgers had an effort cleared off the line but Lichfield scored again when Brady Middleton netted. Brocton substitute Will Heath pulled a goal back in the 75th minute and they snatched a deserved draw in the third minute of time added on.

A cross into the box from the right by Dan Lomas was headed into the net by Jack Weldon.

STAFFORD TOWN were forced to settle for a 3-3 draw at Coventry Copsewood after late drama cost them a 3-1 lead. Nathan Scott scored with a low shot in the 14th minute to give Stafford the lead and Anwar Olugbon made it 2-0 before half time.

But soon after the break Coventry pulled a goal back from the penalty spot when Eden Mukenge scored. Scott then set up Kyle Ashman to restore Stafford’s two goal lead.

Coventry then made it 3-2 in the 75th minute when an Alex Lock cross was turned into the net by Sean Kavanagh before the drama to come.

In the 88th minute Stafford ‘keeper Joe Morris was sent to the sin bin, but having used all of their substitutes they were forced to put an outfield player in goal.

Coventry then equalised in the 95th minute through Kavanagh.

UTTOXETER TOWN’S scheduled visit to Cadbury Athletic was postponed on Friday due to pitch problems.
