TWO jungle-themed adventure golf courses are due to open in Stoke-onTrent – in just five days time.

Adventure Mini Golf is the latest attraction to launch at the Waterworld Leisure Resort as part of a multimillion pound expansion taking place at the Festival Park site.

Located on the top floor of the new 70,000 sqft building, the attraction will boast two 18-hole golf courses complete with hand-painted murals, ‘wild’ jungle animals and a waterfall to help transport you to the ancient Inca empire.

Visitors will get the chance to choose between the Jungle Falls Challenge and the Temple Ruins Trail courses which each come with their own surprises.

And anyone lucky enough to end the game with a ‘hole-in-one’ on the 18th hole will win a free game.

The attraction – which will officially open on Saturday – also boasts a tiki bar selling food, cocktails and other refreshments, ideal for parties and corporate events.

Separately, there is a children’s party room which is complete with jungle decor and climbing frames.

Waterworld owner Mo Chaudry said: “What we have here is pretty much what I had in mind from the start, so it’s really nice to finally be able to bring that dream to life.

“There is nothing like this in Stoke-on-trent. At the moment you have to go to neighbouring cities to get an experience like this, but not anymore.”

Adventure Mini Golf is the first of a host of new attractions due to open at Waterworld in the coming weeks, including a state-of-the-art M Club spa and fitness facility.

It also follows a major upgrade at Waterworld which saw the opening of four huge new water slides, a complete make-over and an extensive refurbishment of the changing rooms which included the installation of 1,000 digital lockers.

Mo said: “There is something here for everyone, whether you are a family, a group of friends or even work colleagues. It’s a great place to take some time out and spend a good couple of hours.”

He added: “To me, this is what entrepreneurship is all about. We have taken a chance here and it’s great to be able to bring something really positive to Stoke-on-trent.”
