Garth Jackson’s goal proved to be the difference for Powys Arms in their Vets Division clash at home against City of Stoke. Michael Lennon (2) and Rob Fairbanks were on target to help Abbey Hulton Vets to a 3-1 triumph over Silverdale Athletic.

· THE goals flowed in the Uttoxeter League Division One derby between Town and Dominoes.

And it was Uttoxeter Town who had the upper hand as they ran out 5-3 winners. Jon Lambourn scored twice, with Lee Bagley, Tom Thorley and Rob Thorley making up the tally. Jack Grzesiak, Dale Boot and Danny Atherton hit the target for Uttoxeter Dominoes.

Tean Albion had an easy time of things as they beat Bramshall FC 4-0.

Paul Talbot, Matt Talbot, Jordan Degg and Danny Glover ensured the home side pocketed the three points.

Churnet Valley were in freescorin­g mood as they beat Cheadle Rovers 7-1.

Mcauley Rowe led the way with a hat-trick, aided by Jack Derbyshire, Dan Harper, Mitch Finney and an own goal. Cheadle Rovers earned some reward with Josh Ford’s goal. There was a five-goal thriller between JCB Lakeside and Waterhouse­s - and it was the former who edged it 3-2.

Matt Redshaw scored twice, and

Keiran Bullock was also on the mark, to earn the hosts the spoils. Adam Taylor and an own goal replied. In Division Two, Sean Locker (2) and Rob Brown were the goal heroes for Tean Rangers in their 3-2 win at Stone Town, who replied through Owen Brown and Nathan Mills. Bird in Hand beat Hixon 2-0. Adam Brough and Liam Berrisford scored. Sudbury defeated Tuns FC 2014 3-1, while Alton FC and Stone Outlanes played out a 0-0 draw.
