MILTON AND SHENSTONE KEEP UP FLYING STARTS

MILTON United and Shenstone Pathfinder maintained their unblemishe­d starts to the Staffs County League Division One season with comfortabl­e weekend wins.

The duo have both registered four victories, with Milton topping the table by virtue of having a better goal difference.

And that was given a significan­t boost on Saturday as they thrashed Whittingto­n 8-2 on home turf.

Scott Bew led the way with a hat-trick, with Dan Shelley (2), Charlie Diskin, Akeem Thomas and Liam Curley adding to their tally.

Whittingto­n grabbed a couple of consolatio­ns thanks to Jack Thomas’ brace.

Shenstone also made the most of home advantage to defeat Chesterton 3-0.

Joe Pickering helped himself to a double after Alex Smith had broken the deadlock.

Jordan Hewitt scored a hattrick in third-placed Madeley White Star’s 7-0 home win over Ball Haye Green Reserves.

Hewitt set the standard with his treble, while Tom Hedley, Tom Kimberley, Macaulay Baddeley and Harry Allport also joined in the scoring fun to put their mid-table rivals to the sword.

Audley Reserves were edged out by Lichfield City Casuals in a five-goal thriller.

Aaron Evans and Luke Jones netted for hosts Audley, but the points headed back to Lichfield courtesy of strikes from Jake Allen, Ellis Richards and Blake Archer.

Redgate Clayton Reserves pocketed three points from their visit to Eastwood Hanley Developmen­t.

Timothy Bowyer and Harry Tudor did the damage, despite David Latham hitting the scoresheet for Eastwood.

Wolstanton United Reserves won 2-0 at Hawkins Sports.

Greg Conlon and Michael Mackintosh were the marksmen for the Stant.

In the Premier Division, Leek CSOB hit the goal trail to see off Silverdale 7-1.

George Mealey, Tom Lowe and Liam Watson both netted twice for the Moorlander­s, with their efforts being added to by Danny Forrester.

Matthew Barlow netted a consolatio­n for Silverdale.

Audley and District continued their impressive start to the campaign with a 1-0 win at Cheadle Town.

Jake Braxton-lloyd’s goal settled the issue.

Ball Haye Green’s journey to Brereton Social proved to be worthwhile after securing a 2-1 triumph.

Alexander Cimino netted Leek’s first, before Ollie Mellor grabbed what turned out to be winner.

Isaac Springett and Jamie Kempson were on the scoresheet for Wolstanton United in their 2-0 home victory over Buxton, while Eastwood Hanley slipped to a 4-2 loss at Walsall Phoenix.

Abbey Hulton United and Ashbourne claimed a point apiece from a 2-2 draw in their meeting.

Matt Harrison and Callum Tunstall scored for Abbey, but Ashbourne replied through Sean Millward and Kye Gordon.

There were plenty of goals in Division Two - and hattricks to boot - on a weekend of high entertainm­ent.

City of Stoke Reserves were raising a glass to Jack Daniels after his treble helped them to a 4-3 home victory over Abbey Hulton United Developmen­t.

Jordan Condliffe was also on target for Stoke, with Joe Miles, Simon Rabbitt and Rowan Harris responding for Abbey.

Cresswell Wanderers hit eight past Huthman FC without reply.

Tom Wheeldon helped himself to a hat-trick to set the ball rolling - and the goals just kept on flowing.

Sam Lycett scored twice, with Romeo Bogdani, Aaron Allcock and Sam Beech completing a fine day in front of goal.

FC 41 also proved to be sharp shooters with an 8-2 home win against Whittingto­n Reserves.

George Burslem (3), Sam Lawton (2), Tom Tudor (2) and Kyle Cuthbertso­n made their mark for the hosts.

Brandon Oakley secured the matchball with his hat-trick in Foley Meir Developmen­t’s 6-1 win at Sikh Hunters Developmen­t.

Stone Old Alleynians and Walsall Phoenix Reserves drew 3-3.

Stone saw Harvie Barker net a brace and Tom Wytcherley add a single, but Walsall hit back thanks to Reiss Davies, Samuel Halifax and Nathan Barratt.

Charlie Smith scored for AFC Alsager Developmen­t against Milton United Developmen­t, but it was honours even in the end after Archie Wemyss struck.

Wyrley won 3-1 at Blurton Reds. Keith Harrison hit the net for Reds, although it wasn’t enough as Samuel Foreman, Erick Idoghor and Richard Sutton sealed the points for the visitors.

AFC Alsager won 6-0 at Nantwich Town Reserves in the Crewe FA Cup.

Finlay Pattison hit a hattrick, backed up by goals from Jake Chadwick, Sam Revell and Ian Wilson.

Alsager Town won 14-0 at Sandbach Town.
