CHEERS! ‘LUXURY’ CARE HOME HAS ‘GASTROPUB’ AND MARKET
78 en-suite bedrooms at new site
A ‘LUXURY’ 78-bed care home is set to open – complete with a gastropub and farmers’ market.
Priesty Fields, in Congleton, will open in June after being purpose built in a green residential area near the town centre.
It will boast 78 en-suite bedrooms, a pub, cinema, spa, salon, gym, library, private dining room, garden lounge and GP office.
The ‘sustainable’ home will feature a heat recovery system and environmentally friendly lighting for low energy consumption.
It is the ninth home now owned by the Handsale care group.
Handsale care director Rishi Sodha said: “We’re delighted to announce Priesty Fields will be opening in early June, offering an outstanding environment that enables staff to provide outstanding care.
“Priesty Fields will be a place where people, no matter their age, can maintain their independence and live fulfilling lives amidst a backdrop of innovative and comforting surroundings.
“The building is being designed to incorporate our care philosophy at Handsale; empowering staff, so they can offer the highest quality of person-centred care.
“Since development started in 2019, we’ve hit a few bumps in the road, having been impacted by both Brexit and Covid-19, so we’re pleased that our vision to offer an authentic, engaging environment is nearing completion.
“Now we have a set timeline in place, we can start working on the exciting final phases of the development, which will incorporate the heritage of Congleton.”
A new website is currently being set-up for Priesty Fields, but anyone wishing to find out more information can visit Handsale’s website at https://handsale.co.uk/.
