BIDDULPH GRANGE COUNTRY PARK

This is an awesome little place, with plenty of nooks and crannies to explore. It is just a short walk and can easily be done within 45 minutes, but you can prolong it by exploring every single path. There is a walk alongside a stream and bridges at various points to make it that little bit more exciting for children. There are also woods to explore, a cave at the top of the woods to add a spooky element, and a small lake with a large grassy area for those looking for a spot to sit down for a picnic.

There are a lot of paths that are pushchair and wheelchair friendly, but you will

encounter some steps the further you go into the woods.

I would say it’s doable for all ages and not too strenuous at all. If you do need a rest, there are plenty of benches dotted about. Dogs are welcome as well.

Overall, a nice little walk that certainly entertains children due to everything available to explore.

TRAVEL

There is a large free car park at ST8 7SB. When approaching, don’t be confused by the signs for National Trust Biddulph Grange, which is next door. Catch the 3A, 7 or 9 buses from the city centre before jumping on to the 94 towards Congleton.

REFRESHMENTS

I didn’t see anywhere selling food, but take a picnic and make the most of it. There are toilets situated at the start of the walk.
