FLORAL TRIBUTES AFTER BIKER DIES IN CRASH
FLORAL tributes have been laid at the scene of a crash in which a biker in his 20s died.
Emergency services were called out to the one-vehicle collision at the junction of Congleton Road South and Liverpool Road West, in Church Lawton, on Thursday.
A man in his 20s - who has not yet been named - was confirmed dead at the scene.
His next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.
Since the collision at 10pm on Thursday, bunches of flowers, balloons, candles, helmets, a jacket and messages of condolence have been left by the side of the road.
It follows a candle-lit vigil that was held in memory of the biker on Friday night.
Police are continuing to appeal for witnesses and dashcam footage.
A Cheshire Police spokesman said: “At around 10pm on Thursday 15 April, officers were called to the junction of Congleton Road South and Liverpool Road West following reports of a one vehicle collision involving a red Yamaha motorbike.
“The motorcyclist, a man in his 20s, passed away at the scene.
“His next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.
“Police are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the collision or may have any dashcam footage of the vehicles before the incident to come forward.”
