STOKE City fans have been having their say on the 0-0 draw with Preston North End...

Adrian Butters: Oh for a Matthew Etherington or Jermaine Pennant, even a Bjarni Gudjonsson to deliver from the wide opportunities that Stoke created first half and has been their downfall for some time now. Smith especially struggles to find anyone other than the front man.

When you see a referee deliver a one-minute lecture in the third minute you tend to fear the worst! A scrappy-enough affair was regularly punctuated by a fussy official who frustrated both sets of players.

Having turned down what would admittedly been a soft penalty for Norton in the first half he couldn’t resist the chance to steal the limelight by dismissing Souttar for a less heavy touch on Browne. Good to see Norton given a chance and he showed a turn of pace though suspect he’ll be slightly disappointed by a debut where passes failed to reach him and his heavy touch was that of a nervous debutant.

Darren Williams: Said it for years we are so desperate for a Charlie Adam-type player in the team.

We haven’t got one player that could see a 40-yard pass let alone deliver it.

Until we get at least one of them players in I’m afraid it’s going to carry on like it is now.

Daniel Johnson: Some real positive stuff to come out of this season is the growth of @harryjsouttar, @Tyresekcampbell, @C_ Norton9 and Collins. Looking forward to a fully fit side next season and hopefully a real push with kids bossing the league.
