TESCO SEX ACT WOMAN & PAEDOPHILE EX-PUB BOSS ARE BOTH JAILED
She was paid £200 to send him videos which he then shared
A WOMAN who filmed herself carrying out sex acts in places where children were present has been jailed, along with the man she was sending the videos to.
Christopher Shaw, a former pub manager, would ask Tiffany Barrett to send the clips – one of which was filmed in a supermarket – and would pay her up to £200 for them before sharing them with others.
The pair were snared when an online child sex exploitation team found a video from which Barrett, aged 32, was identified.
She was arrested first, then Shaw was taken in for questioning, and both their mobile phones were seized. Shaw was found to have a stash of extremely graphic child sex abuse images.
Darren Whitehead, prosecuting at Stoke-on-trent Crown Court, said: “(Barrett) admitted she sent these videos to a man she knew as Chris. She states he would ask her to make videos of herself in unusual places, including the changing rooms at Tesco.
“Shaw stated he downloaded indecent images of children. He confirmed he used (social media app) Kik for a few years.
“He stated he joined to make friends, but started to go into groups including teens. He denied he got aroused by looking at such images.”
Jason Holt, defending Barrett, of Goddard Street in Longton, said she had no knowledge that the videos were being distributed.
He added: “She hoped to go into the army and started boxing. She started a career in modelling.
“She saw the videos as a way of making some quick money. She had no knowledge these matters would be distributed.
“She didn’t think through the consequences of her behaviour.
“Her life collapsed. During these proceedings she was burgled and damage was caused to her property.
“She had a previous problem with drugs but managed to rid herself of that problem.
“There is a realistic prospect she will be rehabilitated. She is not a danger to the community.”
Kelly Cyples, acting for Shaw, said he was sorry for what he had done.
She told the court he was homeless and living in his car.
Ms Cyples said: “He promises he will never offend again. He lost everything. He was in a stable relationship for four years and that has gone.
“Since then he has struggled with his mental health and he continues to struggle. He was a pub manager. However, he is now unemployed and claiming benefits.
“There is a realistic prospect of rehabilitation. He has never tried to justify his actions and there has been no further offending. He is of good character.”
Barrett, who pleaded guilty to causing a child to witness a sexual act, was jailed for 16 months.
She will be made to stay away from activities involving children when she is released, and will be put on the sex offenders’ register.
Shaw, who admitted making Category A, B and C images of child abuse, possession of extreme pornography, and causing a child to witness a sexual act, was also given 16 months and will be subject to the same conditions as Barrett when he is released.
