REHEMA DRESSES ‘TO THE NINES’ FOR MISS WORLD
Store ‘proud’ to help Miss England
A BOUTIQUE is to have its dresses showcased on the world stage after designing Miss England’s wardrobe.
Rehema Muthamia has just won the national title and will go on to compete in the 70th Miss World competition in Puerto Rico in December.
The 25-year-old, from London, is being dressed by To The Nines Boutique, based in High Street, Newcastle. The shop specialises in evening, prom and bridal wear.
Operations manager Simon Dyer has worked there for seven years. The 40-year-old, from Newcastle, said: “The store was set up by Joanne Clay, from Sneyd Green.
“We are the official dress partner for Miss England – we have coached and mentored people through Miss England for the last five years.
“To The Nines as a brand has changed and developed over the years. It’s very exciting and we’re very proud to help the
Miss England winner look her best.”
To The Nines has previously dressed other Miss England competitors before Rehema.
Simon added: “We had a local girl, Megan Fenwick, finish in the top five in 2018.
“Now Rehema has been confirmed as Miss England we have a responsibility to supply her with the dresses. We have our 2021/22 collection in, and she will choose what she would like from it.
“It’s quite a proud moment for us because it’s nice to get the recognition and prestige that comes from it. It’s a big responsibility to make sure she looks the part.”
Rehema said: “This is my first ever pageant. I think I’ve found what I wanted at To The Nines.
“I am loving the sequins and I’m sure I’ll get a full wardrobe here.
“I feel overwhelmed and happy – it’s been a real rollercoaster of emotions, but all positive – I never expected this. I’m nervous and excited about Miss World but I’m looking forward to it.
“I will be spending an entire month in Puerto Rico and it’s an incredible experience that I don’t think I’ll have again.”
To The Nines is also a distribution centre that supplies dresses to The Real Housewives of Cheshire, The Only Way is Essex, and other stores as far away as South Africa.
