LAZENBY IS MAN IN FORM TO AID LA FC’S VICTORY PUSH

- CHRIS TRAVERS

LA FC won the big Potteries and District Sunday League Division Two match of the day by beating leaders Barbers Life.

Barbers had won all four matches heading into their meeting with LA FC, who themselves had a 100 per cent record after three outings.

And it was LA FC who took their opportunity to draw level on points with the frontrunners as they recorded a 5-3 win to keep up their unblemished record so far.

Kieran Lazenby led their victory charge, bagging four goals, while Brad White completed the scoring for the visitors.

Barries had few concerns in sweeping past the challenge of Ashbank.

They scored three times in each half to complete a fine morning’s work. Connor Maidment and Daniel Nicklin both scored twice, with Josh Sines and David Harper adding to the tally for the home side.

Dean Beardmore and Macauley Vigrass both hit hat-tricks in Berwick Inn’s 9-1 demolition of Radway Rovers.

James Field’s double and a goal from Daniel Hart sealed a comprehensive victory for the hosts.

Radway, to their credit, kept battling and found the scoresheet through Connor Twentyman.

Madeley White Star shared the goals around in their 6-2 home win against Linley Tavern.

Levin Cope, Tino Mumvuri, Charles Bennett, Dan Whally, Joe Morris and Josh Barlow were the hot shots in front of goal as they stretched out in the second period after the contest was nicely poised at 2-1 at the break.

River Trent Rovers banked the spoils from their Sunday morning meeting with Burslem Development, edging a five-goal thriller. In Division One, Queensbury hit eight past Chesterton Bucks without reply.
