NEW WORKERS AT CARE HOME GET ‘WELCOME BONUS’ OF £300
Recruitment drive aims to fill 20 vacancies
BOSSES at a care home are offering new staff members a £300 ‘welcome bonus’ after launching a recruitment drive to fill 20 roles.
Tunstall’s Scotia Heights is on the look out for a number of health care assistants to meet a growing demand.
The facility provides support for up to 60 adults who are living with complex needs including mental health issues, dementia, and neurodisabilities.
Applicants are being accepted from both people who have previously worked in care along with those looking to start a career in the industry.
Health care assistants support people with all aspects of their day-today living - including personal care, meal times, social activities and trips out.
They work alongside a team of registered nurses and coordinators.
Along with a £300 welcome bonus, available for a limited time, successful applicants can expect fully-funded training alongside retail and lifestyle discounts.
Cheryl Wildman, Home Manager at Scotia Heights, which is part of Exemplar Health Care, said: “I am so excited to share the brilliant opportunities on offer here at Scotia Heights.
“We already have a fantastic, closeknit care team here at Scotia Heights and we are looking to bring people on board who share the same values and commitment to provide the very best care for our residents.
“All new hires will be given full training as part of induction, as well as an on-site buddy in the home. And there is huge potential to progress in the company if you wish.
“If you’re looking for a new care role or to start your career in the sector, there’s no better time.
“Please feel free to give the home a call if you have any questions.
“We know that some people don’t have access to the internet to apply for roles, so you can now pop into the home with your CV or to fill in a paper application form.”
