HOLLYWOOD HARD MAN SAYS OUR EDDIE IS ‘SUPERHUMAN’
The Beast stars in major action film
HOLLYWOOD hard man Jason Statham has hailed Eddie Hall as ‘superhuman’ after both were cast in a new action thriller.
The actor will star alongside Eddie – aka The Beast - in the fourth instalment of The Expendables which is due for release next year.
The pair have been getting to know each other as filming got underway in London.
In a post on Instagram, Jason praised Clayton-born Eddie’s phenomenal strength and described it as a ‘privilege’ to work with the 2017 World’s Strongest Man.
Sharing a black and white photo with Eddie, Jason wrote: “No human can visualise the impossible like this man.
“When Eddie lifted 500kilos off the ground he beat the world record by almost 80lbs.
“This crushed and annihilated all before it. Most records are beaten by a slice, a kilo or two at most.
“This one has superhuman strength like we’ve never seen!
“Eddie rewrites the history books, and continues to set goals. Massive respect to the man, and a privilege to spend time together.”
The Sentinel reported yesterday that Eddie, aged 33, will appear in The Expendables 4 alongside stars Sylvester Stallone, Megan Fox, Dolph Lundgren, 50 Cent and Andy Garcia.
Rocky legend Stallone asked former Clayton High School Eddie to take on a role in 2019 after spotting him in the audience at An Experience with Sylvester Stallone in Birmingham. Details of Eddie’s character have not been revealed but it is believed he plays a villain.
The Expendables franchise launched in 2010 with Stallone cowriting and directing the first film, which brought together action
movie legends like Bruce Willis, Jet Li and Mickey Rourke.
The Expendables 2 and 3 added Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jeanclaude Van Damme and Chuck Norris to the cast.
