WATER retailer Water Plus is hosting a recruitment open day to fill more than 30 vacancies. The company – which recently relocated to new headquarters on the Riverside Park complex, off Campbell Road in Stoke – has a variety of positions up for grabs across the business, including customer service advisors and team leader roles.

The recruitment drive comes after Water Plus won and renewed a number of contracts with household names in recent months. The open day is taking place at the company’s South Court office on Friday, October 29 between 12pm and 5pm.

Andy Hughes, chief executive of Water Plus, said: “We’ve won and renewed contracts with a number of household names in recent months and we’re looking for people passionate about customers to join our team.

“We’ve got great benefits including 25 annual leave days, plus bank holidays and your birthday off, healthcare cash plan, life assurance and shopping discounts.”

He added: “We’ve just received accreditation for one of our training programmes, so our customer service teams now receive a national qualification in customer service.

“We also offer hybrid working – giving our people flexibility with a blend of home and office working.

“In the last year, more than 82 per cent of our employees rated the way we’ve responded as an employer to the Covid-19 pandemic as ‘excellent’ or ‘very good’ and we’re continuing with some great activities to support our Charity of the Year and help local communities.”

Water Plus – a joint venture between Severn Trent and United Utilities – is the UK’S largest water retailer.

It provides customer service, meter reading and billing for water and waste-water services as well as technical water services and advice on water efficiency to businesses – from supermarkets, manufacturers and national chains to corner shops and hairdressers – across England and Scotland.

The open day will give job-seekers the opportunity to meet members of the team, find out more about the company and the benefits on offer and what the roles involve.
