Attraction starts ‘12 days of Christmas’
TRENTHAM Shopping Village is gearing up for the start of Christmas with an evening of festive entertainment on Thursday.
The schedule of events will include a children’s lantern workshop, paper lantern sales and a range of festive concessions and pop-up shops, including Project D doughnuts and a giant paella outlet from The Mill.
There will also be a charity wrapping station.
BBC Radio Stoke presenter John Acres, pictured, will host a festive takeover which will see the shopping village come alive with a series of illuminated performers and music spectacles. This includes a Christmas carol performance from Trentham Brass Band. It is is set to run from 5.30pm to 8pm.
It comes as the Trentham Estate has also announced the launch of ’12 Days of Trentham’, a series of festive events, family days out and themed late-night shopping offers throughout November and December.
Gareth Hine, senior asset manager at Trentham, said: “We’re so excited to get in the Christmas spirit here at Trentham.
“The safety and wellbeing of our visitors continues to be our top priority, which is why this year we’re hosting a range of smaller festive events to help prevent large crowds. “People love shopping ‘offline’ at
Trentham, where they can enjoy a relaxed and varied retail experience, along with a choice of fantastic eateries and the opportunity to explore our renowned gardens.
“We provide people with an attractive alternative to online shopping and with reports that many people will begin Christmas shopping earlier this year, we are looking forward to a successful festive period.
“We want to make Christmas shopping as stress-free as possible for visitors, which is why all our retail events are free to enter, and with free parking and a charity gift wrapping station, Trentham really makes things as easy as possible.”
Trentham is supporting two local charities including The Rotary Clubs of Wolstanton and Stoke-on-trent and a range of charities, including the Gingerbread Centre, who will be manning the Christmas wrapping station.
