VAN conversion specialist Bri-stor Systems is hosting a second open day later this week – to fill another 20 vacancies. The Hixon-based company is currently in the middle of a major recruitment drive to increase its 250-strong workforce.

Now, after securing a large contract with a major utilities provider, Bri-stor Systems is looking for an additional 20 production staff to join the company in a variety of roles.

It is staging an open day on Friday, November 19.

The event follows the success of a similar event in October where over half of the attendees were offered positions with the company.

Bri-stor Systems’ managing director Simon Webb said: “We were thrilled with how many people came to our last open day. Many of those who attended our last event have already started their new roles here and we hope to be able to add to our growing workforce with more driven people to support our busy production line.

“There are so many exciting things happening across the business at the moment, with many opportunities for our employees to progress and grow with the company. It really is a great time to come and join our business.”

The open day will give ‘driven and hard-working’ job-seekers the chance to visit the Bri-stor System facilities, meet the team, find out more about the roles available and take part in an on-the-day interview. The current vacancies including production operatives, vehicle coversion inspectors and auto electricians – and immediate starts are available.

The last open day saw over half the attendees offered positions within the company, among them was Russell Szamek.

Russell said: “It was fantastic to see what the company do first-hand on the tour and chat to the team. We even got the chance to take a look around some of their complex van conversions which was really interesting.

“I was thrilled when they offered me the role with an immediate start and I’ve now been working here for a couple of weeks. Getting the chance to see the facilities and meet the team at the open day definitely helped me settle in quickly and I’m excited to see what the future holds for me here.”

The recruitment open day will be held at Bri-stor Systems’ premises in Hixon. There will be three time slots available throughout the day.
