RIDES AND ATTRACTIONS

-

THERE are rides for all ages and levels of bravery, from family favourites like the Santa’s Sleigh family rollercoaster, waltzers and dodgems to the terrifying 60-metre high Sky Swing, which is the world’s tallest portable swing attraction. and the dizzying Airmaxx, below, which swings the riders 360 degrees.

New for this year is The Snowman Experience, a motion simulator which sees you ‘walking in the air’ through the classic festive animation.

There is also an amusement arcade with machines galore and traditional fairground games like hook a duck.

Rides can be paid for using pay as you go tokens for £1 each or by purchasing a four-hour unlimited riding wristband for £9.99 for the children’s rides (£15.99 with ice skating) or £15.99 for all rides (£23.99 with ice skating). Height and age restrictions apply on some rides.

ICE RINK

THE popular ice rink is back again this year and 150 people can skate at a time. Sessions last an hour including time to get your skates on and off. It’s undercover so there’s no need to worry about the weather.

Skates are included in the ticket price and available in from a children’s size 9 up to a maximum adult’s size 13, with a limited supply of size 14 and 15 available.

For little ones there are a limited number of penguin skate aids available from the skate hire counter for £4. These are on a first come first served basis and can’t be booked in advance.

Wheelchairs are allowed on the ice and there are ramps into the skating area and onto the rink itself.

Skating costs £9.50 for adults or £8.50 for children aged 12 and under and students with ID. A family skating ticket for two adults and two children or one adult and three children costs £32.

Children can get their photo taken in the log cabin with the Man in Red and there’ll be a gift for each child. There’s no booking necessary to see Santa. Entrance costs £6.99 per child, which includes up to two free accompanying adults, and photo souvenirs, such as key rings, magnets and baubles start from £5.
