TRIBUTES have been paid to a ‘one in a million’ 30-year-old mum after her sudden death.

Amy Mathers died last Saturday and friends now trying to come to terms with their loss.

She leaves behind her three children – Harper, six, Harry, eight, and 11-year-old Jack, who are with their father.

Now a fundraiser has been launched to help with Amy’s funeral and to support her family.

Friend Lauri Pass says Amy was an ‘amazing person and a fantastic mum’.

Lauri, who works at the Hop Pole and The Imperial pubs in Crewe, paid a touching tribute to Amy on Facebook.

She said: “Life can be so cruel, mental health is such a difficult thing. Last night all I could do was try to get through the shift at the pub, looking around wishing it wasn’t true, wishing you were going to bounce through our doors, across the dance floor and jump at one of us as you always did.

“But sadly that’s never going to be the case, so all we have now is our memories with you.

“Amy Mathers, your heart and soul was one in a million.

“You were an amazing person, a fantastic mum to your three beautiful children and your animals, all of which were your entire world, and it’s hard to now know none of them will ever see your beautiful face, your smile or hear you laugh again.

“No words can describe how everyone is feeling, and watching people find out and fall apart one at a time was awful.

“We closed the doors finally and had a drink together for you.

“So many regrets that unfortunately none of us can go back and change the events that led to you leaving us all.

“I hope you’re at peace and with your dad watching down on us all, watching your beautiful children and laughing at the rest of us.

“The hole you have left will never be filled.”

Since the news of Amy’s death at an address in Ash Road, Crewe, the community has rallied around to support the family as well as help pay for her funeral.

A Justgiving page has been launched, with just over £2,755 being raised by yesterday evening.

The Imperial, on Edleston Road, will be hosting a fundraising event on Saturday, December 11.

Lauri said they would be auctioning items, including a luxury lodge holiday at a Haven site for a family of up to 10 people.

There will also be photography sessions, animal party experiences, tattoo vouchers, beauty vouchers and much more, including a raffle and face painting for the children.

More information about the fundraising event can be found on The Imperial’s page on Facebook. To donate to help Amy’s family, go to the Just Giving page.
