OUTDOOR cinema specialist Luna Cinema has announced a series of summer screenings at Trentham Gardens.

The popular tourist attraction will provide the tranquil setting for top movies Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, Mamma Mia and No Time to Die, pictured.

The screenings will take place in Trentham Estate’s stunning lakeside location. Tickets are on sale now for the film viewings on September 9, September 10 and September 11. The films are being shown for one night only and tickets cost £17.50 per person. Doors will open at 6.30pm with the film due to start at 7.45pm.

There will be a bar present at all screenings serving a full selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. There will also be hot food available, though visitors are welcome to take along their own picnics – but alcohol is not permitted. Luna Cinema is also offering a number of upgrades to visitors’ experiences. The Luna Luxe package includes entry for two on a premium sofa in prime position, offering a ‘supersnuggly’ night at the movies.

As if that wasn’t enough, the upgrade includes blankets and a bottle of prosecco and the sofas are situated by a firepit. But that’s not all.

Luna Cinema is also offering a ‘Director’s Chair’ upgrade ideal for those who prefer to travel light or don’t have their own chairs and blankets. There’s also the Date Night Deckchair, perfect for cosying up with your special someone on a double deckchair.

You can also pre-order food and drink hampers when booking tickets via the website. Both food and drink at Luna’s screenings will be available to order using a handy ‘click and collect’ service to avoid time spent queuing.

George Wood, founder of The Luna Cinema, said: “We’re hugely excited to announce our 2022 season, and our 15th consecutive year of bringing people together through the magical experience of cinema under the stars. We’ve spent the winter devising what we believe to be our greatest cinema season yet, with a line-up of films and venues that will make for the perfect summer’s evening out – and just at a time when cinema really feels like it’s making a triumphant return in the post-pandemic world.

“With the inclusion of films like No Time To Die, Mamma Mia alongside every classic film you can imagine, the programmes at Trentham Estate will offer something for everyone. So, round up your friends and dig out that picnic blanket as this summer promises to be special.”
