A RENOWNED city digital forensic consultancy service is set to launch a recruitment drive after landing eight new contracts with a projected value of more than £11 million.

Sytech – which also has offices in South Wales – is the longest-standing digital forensic consultancy service in the UK.

It has won a series of tenders for public sector bodies including four separate police forces, Police Digital Services (PDS), Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency (MHRA), and the Centre for Environment, Fisheries and Aquacultural Science (Cefas).

Sytech gathers digital evidence for criminal, civil or corporate investigations, covering computer forensics, mobile phone forensics and geo-location analysis.

The company has also been enlisted by Cefas to deliver consultancy and training support services in Belize.

Sytech has also added bid writing support services to its existing consultancy offerings to small and medium sized business.

To support the growth, the firm is embarking on a major recruitment drive and is seeking to grow the existing 70-strong workforce by at least 30 per cent over the next 12 months – roughly 21 jobs.

Sytech is seeking experienced analysts, entry-level technicians and administrative staff, and is interested in speaking with IT professionals, data analysts or former police officers keen to migrate into digital forensics and cyber services.

Managing director Daren Greener said: “We are extremely proud to have secured significant expansion of our contract portfolio with a record number of new public sector contracts over the past 12 months, a testament to our commitment to provide an attentive and amenable service delivery.

“These contracts also endorse the tremendous work and previous achievements of all our staff, which is reflected in high levels of customer satisfaction and service assurance. Our historic record in these areas, together with evident continuous improvement, have been key factors to these latest contract awards.

“As the business continues to expand and diversify, we are thrilled to offer significant job opportunities, creating high-aspirational careers and improving social mobility in our workforce areas and further across the UK through our social activities, which themselves are aimed at improving employability.”
