HANNAH’S PERSONAL TOUR

-

FAVOURITE SHOP Belle Epoque

An antique shop full of treasures. Calle Antonio López, 2

FAVOURITE GALLERY Sala Rivadavia

My personal favourite is the Sala Rivadavia, where you can see artworks from contemporary artists who live in the area. Calle Presidente Rivadavia, 3

FAVOURITE BAR El Faro

Fabulous for drinks and tapas, or a sit- down meal. Calle San Félix, 15

FAVOURITE RESTAURANT Parador de Cádiz hotel

Smart and contemporary, with fantastic views – especially when you dine out under the stars. Av. Duque de Nájera

FAVOURITE MARKET Mercado Central

This food market is housed in a beautiful old building. Wander from stall to stall, trying out different foods. Especially good for fish, seafood and olives. Plaza Libertad

FAVOURITE WAY TO SPEND AN HOUR

Walking out to the San Sebastián castle, which has protected the city for so many centuries, and is said to have been the site of the pillars of Hercules. Walk along the Paseo Fernando Quiñones, a causeway, onto an island steeped in history and legend, from where you can take in the most sweeping views of the city.

PLACE TO SEE BY NIGHT La Caleta

You can see all the lights of the city reflected in the ocean. This was the beach where Halle Berry emerged from the sea in Bond film Die Another Day.

BEST VIEW Torre Tavira

At the top of this tower you can take in panoramic views of the city through a camera

obscura, a room in which the view is projected via a convex lens. torretavira.com/en
