DESIGN OUR FIFTH PATCH!

Our final patch – currently blank – is all about giving, which is why we’re giving you the chance to create it

WHAT WILL OUR FINAL PATCH LOOK LIKE?

This is your chance to come up with a colour design, in a style appropriate to the series, on the theme of GIVE. We’ll make our favourite into a real sew-on patch and give all the profits to charity. The winning designer will receive a VIP glamping festival package with The Good Life Experience.

THE PRIZE

The designer behind our winning patch will win four tickets to the Good Life Experience, including camping accommodation and tickets to The

Simple Things’ Picnic Feast. It’s a VIP package worth over £900. The Good Life Experience takes place from 14–16 September on the Hawarden Estate (thegoodlifeexperience.co.uk). It involves surprising music, wild swimming, foraging and campfire cooking. Children and dogs welcome!

HOW TO ENTER

You can draw your design on the page and send us a photo, create it on a computer or even embroider it – whichever option suits your creativity. Your design needs to be in colour and in a style in keeping with the other four patches. Email us the finished design with your name and phone number to thesimplethings@ icebergpress.co.uk, using the subject heading: Patches Competition. You have until 16 April to get inspired.

Ways to give. To inspire your design, here are some thoughts on giving, as researched by the New Economics Foundation. Do something nice for a friend, or a stranger. Thank someone. Smile. Volunteer your time. Join a community group. Look out, as well as in. Seeing yourself, and your happiness, linked to the wider community, makes you feel good and builds strong relationships with the people around you.
