SHOP OF THE MONTH
The Hambledon gathers fashion, homeware and fine design
Occupying a four-storey Georgianfronted building, The Hambledon has been described as Winchester’s answer to Liberty. It sells women’s and men’s fashion and, in the basement, homeware – including Art Deco candlesticks, £19.95, in fabulous shades and shapes, handmade in Portugal, and cushions, £65, and tea towels, £15, by printmaker Kiran Ravilious. There is also a bath and beauty department and, at the rear of the building, stationery, books and a project space that houses temporary exhibitions and collaborations.
