Gary O’Connor came off his sick bed to score a double to help SELKIRK to a 5-3 win over THREAVE ROVERS. The ex-Scottish internationalist has been suffering from tonsillitis all week but played for 80 minutes and was a key player. O’Connor hit the opener for Selkirk in the first minute but Threave’s Greg Goodwin levelled, only to see Connor Doherty put through his own goal to put the Souters 2-1 up. Two minutes later, Alistair Barnes made it 2-2 but O’Connor struck again in 57 minutes and Jack Hay made it 4-2. Although Adian Tait pulled another back for Threave in 87 minutes, Hay smashed in the fifth.
