This dominates the front-facing living room where traditional features include working window shutters, dado and picture rails.
2 lamp
This iconic Castiglioni Arco lamp on a marble base is an original and was purchased at auction. Coincidentally, it’s the same age as Debbie!
3 art nouveaux pieces
These are a firm favourite of the Logans. They include a slender pewter candlestick, a pewter cloak and a silver-toned decorative mirror frame.
4 bertoia chair
This authentic Bertoia was bought at a Shapes auction in Edinburgh.
5 blanket box
This belonged to Debbie’s grandmother and is one of a mix of original features in the ground floor bedroom she shares with IT consultant Alan.
6 bedroom furniture
The master bedroom is also home to a rosewood chest – a family piece – while the mahogany wardrobe was purchased at a Bonham auction.
7 the aga
The beating heart of the home and keeps the open-plan family area and dining kitchen warm and cosy.
8 dining table
The Danish rosewood table dates from the 1960s and came from a Shapes auction. It is now teamed with four of Philippe Starck’s Ghost chairs.
9 sputnik-style light
Hangs above the Danish dining table and was a lucky find at a decorative antiques fair in Battersea.

There’s nothing like staying on track and relaxing in this pair of wing armchairs, upholstered in a railway memorabilia fabric.
