The Murrays find fame is difficult at times

-

JUDY MURRAY has said her whole family has found it difficult to cope with the fame generated by her boys’ tennis exploits.

Coach Judy never expected Andy and Jamie to become Grand Slam champions – so when they became household names, it came as a shock.

Andy, 29, won his second Wimbledon title this month with a win over Canadian Milos Raonic.

And 30-year-old Jamie is a former mixed-doubles champ at the tournament too.

Judy, 56, said: “We were a regular family from a small town in Scotland – Scotland with no track record of tennis – and we’ve pretty much been learning as we went along.

“So I never would have expected them, Jamie and Andy, to have ended up where they’ve ended up.

“Your life changes as a consequence of what it is you’re stepping into and you just have to be able to adapt.

“There are lots of great things about it and there are some things you would quite happily do without, but that’s just life.”
