Currently in cinemas after being given the big screen treatment by Steven Spielberg, this tells the story of a young girl called Sophie who lives in an orphanage.

She befriends a mysterious creature she sees one night who calls himself The Big, Friendly Giant, who blows bottled dreams into the bedrooms of children every night.

He takes her to his homeland, Giant Country.

Sophie, The BFG and the Queen then work together to imprison the evil giants, who tend to eat humans – mostly children.

Winner of a host of children’s book awards.
