One of Dahl’s craziest books, apparently written in response to his hatred of beards.

The heavily-bearded Mr Twit and his wife are retired circus trainers who constantly play pranks on each other due to their mutual hatred and live with monkeys called The Muggle-Wumps, who they’re hoping to use in an upsidedown monkey circus!

Mr Twit launches a scheme to capture birds for Mrs Twit to bake in a pie by placing glue on tree branches, but the Muggle Wumps and a foreign bird team up to warn them off.
