GOOD POINT
CHRISTMAS came early for Scottish Premiership teams after Celtic qualified for the group stages of the Champions League.
They’ll share a £2 million payment from UEFA as compensation for fixture rescheduling.
Celtic look set to bank £30 million and will be involved in some glamorous ties.
The club’s chief executive Peter Lawwell says it’s not about pounds but prestige. I agree, but would also say it’s about winning points and if he doesn’t open the purse strings for new players then Celtic will have none.
