SELKIRK bounced back to crash in seven goals in a 7-4 win against EAST STIRLINGSH­IRE and spoil their hopes of an easy passage back to League 2. Selkirk’s hero was four-goal Phil Addison, who ripped open the ‘Shire defence in both halves. Gary McCormack, Jay Doyle and Ross King also netted for the winners with Jamie Glasgow, Andy Grant, Derek Ure and David Grant counting for ’Shire.

DALBEATTIE STAR got their second win in a row with a 4-2 win over HAWICK ROYAL ALBERT. Steven Degnan, Lewis Sloan and Connor Graham had Star 3-0 up by the hour mark before Josh Morris grabbed double for Hawick. However, Sloan hit No 4 in stoppage time.

STIRLING UNI’S got three vital away points with a 3-0 win over GRETNA 2008. Paul McCafferty and Harvey Moyes (2) bagged the goals.

In the South Regional Cup, new Lowland side CIVIL SERVICE STROLLERS gave EAST KILBRIDE a big fright but Kilby came back to win 2-1. Stephen Froud put Strollers ahead in the 30th minute but two second-half goals from Declan Hughes and Adam Strachan saw them through to the second round

LOTHIAN THISTLE crashed in 11 goals without reply against ORMISTON, PRESTON ATHLETIC were 7-0 winners over TWEEDMOUTH RANGERS and GLASGOW UNI thrashed BURNTISLAN­D SHIPYARD 6-1.

SPARTANS were 3-1 winners over East side COLDSTREAM. Craig Johnston (2) and Jamie Dishington scored for the victors with Hagen Steele replying for the Streamers.

WHITEHALL WELFARE beat TYNECASTLE 2-0 thanks to goals from Connor McGregor and Michael Osborne.
