Eating up our wages
DINING out is no longer just a Saturday night treat.
A new survey has revealed that Scottish people spend 7% of their wages in restaurants and cafes.
Deals website Groupon found that over the course of a year, Scots spent an average of £1990 on eating out.
Sunday roasts were the most popular choice, with nearly one in three people (32%) saying this was their fave food – followed by fish and chips (29%).
And 61% of people quizzed believed the rise of street food had made dining out less expensive in recent years.
