The Devonshire folk singer’s eighth studio album is full of his trademark perceptive songwriting and beautiful playing, which earned him a Mercury Music Prize nomination for his 2004 album, Kitty Jay.
His vocals are supplemented by female vocal trio Wildwood Kin, who flesh out songs impressively.
The songs, as expected, are folktinged, but Seth’s knack for writing carefully means the likes of Willow Tree, and Stranger soar.
