Which comeback would hit right note?

-

EIGHTIES boy band Bros are getting back together more than 20 years after calling it a day. The When Will I Be Famous? duo will play a reunion date at London’s O2 Arena next year. We asked our Email Jury which music stars they would like to see make a chart return.

If I could have a music star come back it would be Bing Crosby, who could actually sing. There were many others of that era who could show the modern lot a thing or two.

Liz Kelly, Glasgow.

I’d like to see Right Said Fred make a comeback. I also love what they are doing with Elvis Presley songs and the London Philharmonic Orchestra.

Judi Martin, Aberdeenshire.

I tend to feel most acts have their time, apart from the occasional timeless ones like Sinatra and Elvis. Lorna Smith, North Yorkshire.

The only reason acts do this is because they need the money.

Robert Young, Carrickfergus.

I think comebacks are greatly overrated as you can never recapture your youth.

Bea Smith, Doncaster.

I’m not really into bands making a comeback. I would rather remember them as they were. Irene Allison,

Airdrie.

The acts I liked when I was a teenager like Bob Dylan and Rod Stewart don’t need to make a comeback as they are still around. I know people who were teenagers around the time of the Spice Girls would enjoy a comeback of groups like that, but I firmly believe the music of the ’60s was the best. Margaret

Gibb, Fife.

I would enjoy an unlikely return of Ludwig van Beethoven. James Strachan, Aberdeenshire.

I’d rather not see any band make a comeback. It’s better to remember them as they were. Paul Strathdee, Glasgow.

Freddie Mercury, because his music was phenomenal.

Ronald James, Angus.

I would love to see a return of Glenn Miller and The Shadows.

Hamilton Mclean, Harwood.

I’d love it if the full Prefab Sprout line-up made a touring comeback. What a pop band they were. Harry MacLean, Edinburgh.
