Shorts shrift? No, I’ve still got my tiny hot pants!

-

ALL right, all right, stop laughing at the back.

I’ll have you know the shorts I’m wearing in that picture were the height of fashion – back in 1989.

It might seem sunny but it doesn’t look like my pasty Scottish legs had seen many UV rays at the time, unfortunately.

I just feel bad for the folk in the front row behind me!

The reason I dug out that snap is because Bros are back in the news. You might have heard the ’80s boyband are making a comeback.

They last appeared at a concert in 1989 at Wembley, which I hosted along with Pat Sharp – he’s the other hunk in the pic.

I’m not sure why the wardrobe department gave us shorts tighter than a camel’s bum in a sandstorm, however.

I still have those hot pants and sometimes I break them out to clean the house.

Well it does get awfully hot here in Los Angeles.

Perhaps that explains why Brianna bought a lifetime’s supply of blindfolds last month…

Luckily I don’t sing while I’m doing it – that would be too much for the wife.

Speaking of which (did you spot my effortless link there?), I spoke to a choir of movie stars recently about an upcoming animated movie called Sing.

It’s not out until January in the UK, but there’s a lot of excitement about it because of the fantastic cast.

It stars the gorgeous Reese Witherspoon, the drop-dead gorgeous Scarlett Johansson, Texan heartthrob Matthew McConaughey and rising British actor Taron Egerton, who starred in hit movie Kingsman. Wooft!

The thing is – we won’t get to see them. They all play animals!

“I felt it was time in my career to play a pig who’s a mom to 25 kids!” Reese, (pictured, left) laughed.

“It was such a cute concept and I was just happy to be involved.

“I do a lot of voice lessons because there’s singing in the movie – it’s great to get back to that!”

“I didn’t have much to go on,” added Scarlett. “You read the script and you have no idea how it’s going to turn out so you just have to have faith in the director.

“My character is discovering her own voice…as a porcupine!

“I don’t know if it’s nice for everyone else to hear me singing but it was a lot of fun.”

Sounds nearly as fun as cleaning your house in incredibly tight shorts!

?? ?? We’re pants. I mean, it looks like Pat Sharp and I are wearing hot pants!
