Police probe 150 sex misconduct claims

POLICE forces across the country are investigat­ing more than 150 allegation­s of sexual misconduct lodged against officers, an investigat­ion has discovered.

It has been reported that forces in England, Wales and Scotland are looking into at least 156 claims which have been made internally and externally.

Harassment, sexual assault and rape are among a slew of allegation­s made against officers by women reporting crimes – with some targeted in police stations.

In the face of pending misconduct hearings, at least 15 officers are said to have been allowed to resign, according to reports.
