On deaf ears...
HOUSE of Commons Speaker John Bercow admitted at a reception last week that he liked to enliven things by impersonating MPs when he called them to speak.
His audience were slightly sceptical but when he called Ken Clarke at Prime Minister’s Questions, he did attempt to mimic the Tory veteran’s distinctive tones.
It seems no one has noticed until now because the impressions are so poor.
Rory Bremner can sleep easy.
