Fundraising is a shoe-in

-

THE most famous shoes in movie history are beginning to lose their sparkle.

Dorothy’s ruby red slippers from The Wizard Of Oz are now almost 80 years old and have seen better days.

The Smithsonian, where they are kept, is hoping to raise $300,000 to preserve the iconic footwear, which may have to be placed in a special display case.

That’s a lot of money for a shoe box!
