THE highest phone box in the UK has been saved from removal after a campaign to keep it.

It sits 2000ft up in the Cairngorm mountains.

Almost a third of public pay phones in Scotland have been earmarked for removal.

Let’s hope this isn’t the last call for the iconic boxes or we’ll be really hung-up about it.
