Corrie star’s leaving do disrupted

A LEAVING party for one of the stars of Coronation Street was disrupted after a fight broke out.

Cast members from the soap were attending a leaving do for Oliver Farnworth, who played Andy Carver, at The Red Door Bar in Manchester.

However, the celebrations were marred when police were called in the early hours of yesterday morning.

Officers are said to have responded after they received reports that a man had been assaulted.

A police spokeswoman is reported to have said: “A 28-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of assault.”

Photographs showed guests, including a cast member, talking to police outside the venue.
