RIP ANDREW SACHS who sadly passed away this week aged 86.

His hilarious antics as the long-suffering Manuel – “the world’s worst waiter” – in Fawlty Towers were absolute comic genius and the stuff of legend.

“You will have to excuse him – he’s from Barcelona” has a slightly hollow ring to it now he has gone, but he will never be far away and Manuel will continue to serve up laughs and have the bully Basil given his just deserts for generations to come.
