They deserve our admiration

BRAVE men like Andy Woodward (above) coming forward to tell harrowing stories of sexual abuse at the hands of football coaches deserve compassion and admiration.

I can’t imagine anything more harrowing than having to relive those terrible experiences. It’s horrific to think that these monsters were hiding in plain site and inflicting such pain on vulnerable youngsters.

It’s important to remember that the vast majority of coaches are hard-working, generous individuals who are even more appalled by what has happened in their sport than the rest of us are.

It is vital those who have been so despicably treated receive justice. They deserve their day in court, as well as proper compensation.
