Anger over Trump call

CHINA’S foreign ministry has lodged a complaint with the US after President-elect Trump broke a diplomatic tradition and spoke directly with the leader of Taiwan.

US policy set in 1979 cut all formal relations with Taiwan, which China sees as a breakaway province.
