Rosie’s back and this time she’s glam

IT’S a tale of two cities for footie WAG Helen Flanagan these days.

Glasgow is home with her Celtic winger boyfriend, Scott Sinclair, and their 20-month-old daughter Matilda.

But since the tail-end of last year Helen, 26, has been back filming on Manchester’s Coronation Street cobbles as model Rosie Webster.

She returns to the screen with sister Sophie this week. And Helen, who quit when she took part in I’m A Celebrity five years ago, admits she’s missed it.

“Rosie’s really fun,” says Helen. “I get quite a lot of comedy and she’s really glamorous which is fun to play. I’ve really enjoyed being back.”

The return from Miami – naturally – isn’t smooth as cops follow them from the airport with a warrant to search the luggage on the hunt for drugs.

“Rosie could be in trouble but she’s very innocent about it and she doesn’t realise she’s been set up,” confides Helen.

Romance was never that far away for Rosie first time round – including an affair with John Stape who later kidnapped her – and it doesn’t take long for Adam to try and charm her.

So will love beckon this time?

“When Rosie was with Jason I thought that worked well because they were such a good match.

“I like having her in a relationship because you can really play off someone. Adam Barlow? He’s Rosie’s type, but he’s not very nice.”

Helen reckons her character has changed for the better a bit since she’s been away.

“Rosie has come back a lot more likeable and nicer which won’t be boring to watch and it feels more real to play it like that,” adds Helen.

“She’s a bit of a whirlwind. She comes back really glam and looks a bit out of place.”
