Gers fans are really suffering the blues

-

WHAT is going on with Rangers?

I feel sorry for their fans – honest, I do!

Quite apart from all that has gone before, the Ibrox men seem to be – again – in a bit of a mess.

They say manager Mark Warburton and his backroom team have resigned. Warburton claims they haven’t.

Rangers reckon they don’t owe him a penny.

He almost certainly reckons they owe him more than a penny – over £1 million, in fact.

They don’t have a Plan B or, it seems, the millions allegedly promised by their chairman for Warburton to buy better players.

Instead, they have swapped him for the kids’ squad manager and made vague promises of big news for the fans in the summer.

Then I hear they are asking for Rangers supporters to help out on match-days with duties that sound suspiciously like jobs that stewards are normally paid for. Rumours persist the stadium is in disrepair and their cash flow is struggling.

Yes, they may be back in the Scottish Premiership and playing with the big boys again, but with Celtic still streets ahead of them and numerous legal issues to be ironed out, I can’t help but feel that all is not well at Ibrox.

So I’ll ask again – what is going on with Rangers?
