Prequel plans in the pipeline for Still Game

-

THEIR sell-out show at Glasgow’s Hydro has just come to an end but funnymen Ford Kiernan and Greg Hemphill have already trained their sights on a much smaller project.

The rib-tickling telly stars have revealed to The Sunday Post they are considering a Still Game prequel for the BBC – using children to play younger versions of Jack and Victor.

Ford and Greg, who sold out the SSE Hydro with their hilarious Bon Voyage show, have already used child actors as school kids in one of their recent episodes.

Greg, 47, admitted he’d love to see more mini-mes running about on set.

He said: “I like the idea of a prequel.

“It would be fun to do something like Billy Elliot or Annie. It would be about Jack and Victor from when they first met.”

Ford added: “We’ve thought about that, looking at the characters grow over time and re-casting everybody as kids.

“It would be fun to go back and do it that way.”

The actors, who are having a well-deserved rest after their run of live shows came to an end on Thursday, have already met with students from the UK Theatre School.
