Bosie’s run was for Richard’s dad

-

SCOTTISH duo Bosie have revealed a secret heartache behind their attempt to stay in TV talent show The Voice.

Richard Graham and Taylor Logan, both 21, were voted off the ITV singing contest last night after performing Annie Lennox’s 1988 hit Why.

The couple said they decided to go on the show because Richard’s father, Ian Graham, 64, was unable to go to any of their performances, having had both legs amputated due to diabetes.

Richard said: “He is diabetic and had both his legs amputated as a result of the illness and is wheelchair bound.

“Because he can’t come to see me singing live, we thought it would be nice for him to be able to see us on the telly.

“That way, even when it is so difficult for him to get out the house, he can say, ‘That’s my son’.

“He is my biggest musical influence who got me listening to records and he used to sing to me in the car back in the day.

“He was always into music and would go through hundreds of CDs and records starting with Frank Sinatra swing.”

Bosie said there was a definite upside to their run on The Voice.

Major labels flocked to see a secret show at Glasgow’s Garage venue on Friday night.

The duo, who were being mentored on The Voice by rock singer Gavin Rossdale, also signed a management deal with Scots music mogul John McLaughlin last week.
