YOU might imagine MPs set to nod through multi-billion pound plans to refurbish Westminster would be tightening their belts.
In fact, they are cushioning their backsides.
A series of comfy leather cushions have been installed in MPs’ office block Portcullis House so they don’t have to rest their bums on the cold stone that fringes the fountains there while chatting or waiting to meet constituents.
