Mosque ambush

TEN police officers and a civilian were gunned down by Islamic State militants in an ambush at a Afghan mosque.

Officials in the Zawzjan province said the officers were shot on Friday as they were coming out of the holy building.

The wife of the police commander rushed to the scene after hearing about her husband being shot and was killed.
